Five Senses: Authentic Korean Barbeque Experience in NYC

Jacob was our server at first and he was so patient with us—explaining things, helping us out when we asked for extra sauces, and just being super kind overall. A little later, Sara took over and she was amazing too! Her personality is so bubbly and fun, she was super attentive the whole time, and honestly, she’s gorgeous! She definitely deserves a raise! They both do! This will definitely be our first stop when we come back

Tonight is our amazing team dinner We ordered so many dishes with different flavors, and every single one was delicious . Each dish came in generous portions and was great quality, which made it perfect for sharing. The service was excellent- staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. The atmosphere was warm and enjoyable, making the whole experience even better. It was a wonderful night spent with an amazing team, and we all truly enjoyed it. Highly recommended!

One of the better Korean spots in Ktown. BCD done the block is overrated IMHO (long lines for run of the mill Korea food). The beef short rib soup always tastes authentic and home made flavor here. Chicken wings are decent. The seafood noodle soup okay too. But the de facto must try is the GalbiTang (beef short rib) soup! Their ban chan offerings are on the smaller side tho.

Ive been seeing raw marinated crab all over tiktok and just dying to try it. Found five senses and saw they had it on the menu so tried it bere and it was AMAZING. If you love spicy food youll love this crab. My friends and i also tried theyre mixed noodles, soicy noodles, and short rib, and all were top tier. Can NOT wait to come back

Five star rating all around. Great staff, very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing! Service was top notch. The atmosphere was pleasing. The prices here are very reasonable and well worth the find. So glad we walked down into Korea Town to find it. We highly recommend this place!

I have been to five senses more than any other restaurant in NYC and have brought countless friends and family here over the years. I’ve been coming here since they opened in 2015. But lately since early 2025 the quality just isn’t the same. I miss their simple menu. The kimchi fried rice with cheese and the seafood pancake are still pretty good, but dishes like the galbi jim and the seafood tteokbokki don’t have the standout flavor they used to. It also doesn’t feel as consistent as before. I miss their dishes in general, especially miss the galbi jim served bubbling in a stone pot with glass noodles, the tofu and spicy pork, the food overall used to be unforgettable. Now it feels overpriced. I wish the old Five Senses could make a comeback.

Fast, standard Korean fare that fills one's tummy. I ordered vegetarian chap chae (stir fried glass noodles) while husband asked for beef bibimbap. Both just good enough, nothing more nothing less. My chap chae contained generous amount of onions and little other veggies. One complaint was the size of their ban chan (side dishes), which had to be the stingiest we'd even seen in a Korean restaurant! They did give us another serving, although we'd have to ask for it. We chose this place because our favorite spot next door (BCD) had a long line, and we were super hungry. Service was fast and efficient. The space was big, bustling and noisy. I guess any K-town restaurant would attract enough customers.

Loveee this place. Just classic feel-good cozy Korean food and MASSIVE portions. For sure you could order 2 items for 3 people. The rose tteobokki is great. The beef fried rice is my personal favorite here (no picture). On a weekend sometimes there’s a small wait but it moves fast cause there’s so much seating.
